Steelers “Fully Committed” to Acquiring Davante Adams.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are keen to acquire another high-profile wide receiver and are targeting Las Vegas Raiders’ All-Pro Davante Adams. With Adams seeking a trade from Las Vegas, sources tell Steelers On SI that the Steelers are “absolutely in” on pursuing the 31-year-old.

Adams and the Raiders appear to be at an impasse, with reports indicating that the team is actively contacting other franchises to assess their interest. The Steelers were anticipated to be involved and have shown “preliminary interest” in determining Adams’s asking price.

A team source indicated that the Steelers are not willing to part with a first-round pick for Adams, while the Raiders are seeking a second-round pick and a “significant player” in return. If a trade occurs, the Steelers would need to restructure Adams’s current contract to reduce his hefty cap hits over the next two years, facilitating a long-term stay in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are not worried about any potential attitude issues surrounding Adams; they view him as a valuable veteran who can help them pursue a Super Bowl this season. If acquired, he would become the starting wide receiver alongside George Pickens, with Calvin Austin and Van Jefferson supporting them.

This story is still developing. Adams and the Raiders are working through the current situation, and the Steelers remain actively engaged as they seek to add another star player. After pursuing Brandon Aiyuk throughout the offseason, Pittsburgh is ready to make another significant move if the terms align with their preferences.
