BREAKING: Chase Elliott and Father Bill Elliott Donate $3.9 Million to Build Shelter for Homeless Youth in Dawsonville

A Gift from the Heart of Dawsonville

In a powerful act of gratitude and compassion, NASCAR superstar Chase Elliott and his father, NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott, have donated $3.9 million to transform a historic home in Dawsonville, Georgia into a full-service shelter for homeless and at-risk youth. The donation is not just a financial gift—it’s a deeply personal tribute to the community that raised and shaped them.

“This Town Built Me”—A Vision of Giving Back

In announcing the donation, Chase Elliott shared an emotional statement:

“This town built me. This is where I learned who I wanted to be—not just as a racer, but as a person. Now it’s our turn to give back.”

The shelter will provide not only beds and meals but also counseling services, education programs, and career development resources for vulnerable teens and young adults in the area.

A Family Legacy of More Than Racing

Bill Elliott, one of NASCAR’s most beloved figures, said the project is about more than helping—it’s about restoring hope:

“When kids have nowhere to go, they lose hope. We want this shelter to be a place where hope lives again.”

The Elliotts worked closely with local nonprofits and city officials to identify the ideal location—a once-abandoned house just blocks from downtown Dawsonville. Renovations are already underway.

A Community Stunned—and Inspired

The news has swept through Dawsonville with emotion and excitement. Local residents are calling it one of the most meaningful projects in the town’s recent history.
Mayor Angela Booker praised the Elliott family:

“This isn’t just a NASCAR story. This is a Dawsonville story. The Elliotts have always been proud of this town—and now, the town is proud of them.”

A Shelter With a Future-Focused Mission

The soon-to-be-completed shelter—named “Victory House”—will be able to host up to 30 young people at a time. In addition to housing, it will offer mental health services, job training, and community mentorship programs.

Chase Elliott has pledged ongoing support to ensure the shelter not only opens—but thrives.

More Than Racing: A Role Model in Action

Chase Elliott’s racing success is well known—Cup Series champion, fan favorite, and the pride of Georgia. But this latest gesture cements his status as something even greater: a true hometown hero.

By turning part of his legacy into a lifeline for others, Chase—and his father Bill—have shown that real victory isn’t always won on a racetrack. Sometimes, it’s earned by lifting others up off the sidelines.

And in Dawsonville, the checkered flag just waved for something much bigger than a race.
