CINCINNATI BENGALS HAS AGREED WITH THE $350 DEAL WITH.
The Cincinnati Bengals, led by Jake Browning, desperately needed to defeat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 14 of the NFL. The Bengals knew the Colts were only a few spots ahead of them in the standings, and the AFC playoff race was intensifying with many teams fighting for the final two spots. Cincinnati was able to pull away from Indianapolis by the final score of 34-14 after a difficult first half.
The Bengals were written off as a potential playoff contender by everyone when Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury just a few short weeks ago. Since the injury, Browning has completely changed the situation.
Browning has completed 75.5 percent of his pass attempts for 924 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions in the five games he has played so far this season. In addition, he has two touchdowns and 77 yards on the ground.
Chief Warrant From Bengals QB Jake Brown To The NFL
After their decisive victory over the Colts, Browning spared no words in his straightforward two-word warning to the rest of the NFL. In response to a query regarding the Bengals’ postseason prospects this season, he issued his warning.
The Bengals always appeared much better on the outside than what their record showed. That being said, it was reasonable to write them off after Burrow collapsed.
In addition to putting Cincinnati back in the playoff hunt, Browning has proven that he has real franchise quarterback potential. Since he replaced Burrow, the team has not missed a beat and has even gotten better. That is more of a compliment to Browning than it is to Burrow.
The Bengals’ chances of making the playoffs will depend on how well they perform going forward. They still have a couple really difficult games on their schedule. They play the Vikings at home the following week, the Steelers in Pittsburgh, the Chiefs in Kansas City, and the Browns at home to end the season.
The Bengals have a strong chance of punching their ticket to the postseason if they keep playing the way they have been the past two weeks. They’re playing well and are confident, as they should be, but only time will tell.
