PITTSBURGH STEELERS: SIGN QB PLAYER WHO IS BETTER THAN Kenny Pickett.

AFC standings: Mike Tomlin has the Pittsburgh Steelers winning in the 2023 season. How??

Kenny Pickett will not be available for the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second straight week. The second-year starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky will start under center against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday as he continues to heal from ankle surgery.

The home crowd booed quarterback Mitchell Trubisky early and often during his first start of the season as the offense failed to generate any momentum against the lowly New England Patriots.

The crowd chanted for third-string quarterback Mason Rudolph to enter the game at various points, particularly after quarterback Mitchell Trubisky completed just six of his eleven passes for 61 yards in the first half. In addition, he had multiple throws go horribly wrong, which infuriated supporters and teammates like receiver George Pickens, who was clearly upset.

Although Trubisky performed better in the second half and finished the game with 190 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 22 of 35 passes, head coach Mike Tomlin chose to stick with him. On Thursday, in Pittsburgh’s 21-18 loss to the Patriots, Trubisky also scored on a quarterback sneak.

Due to the concussion protocol for both All-Pro linebacker T.J. Watt and linebacker Alex Highsmith, Pittsburgh may be even worse off defensively when they visit Lucas Oil Stadium, according to Tomlin.

Watt left the game for two snaps after taking a knee to the head on the opening play. After a while, he came back wearing a darker visor and finished the game.

He then informed the coaches during Friday’s practice that he was having symptoms similar to a concussion, which led to him being placed in the protocol.

On Saturday, the Colts and Steelers (7-6) square off in a game that will have a significant impact on the AFC playoff race. The Colts (7-6), who own the seventh and final AFC playoff spot via tiebreakers, are the team the Steelers are looking up to after two straight losses.
