After the NRL’s Integrity Unit reviewed the criminal proceedings, Shaun Johnson was given a breach notice.

The backrower for the New Zealand Warriors entered a guilty plea last Thursday, sparing him from prosecution for hitting an adolescent during an incident in a bar.

The NRL issued a breach notice to Shaun Johnson.
Curran has already served one game of his two-match punishment according to the breach notification.

The 24-year-old was taken off of the Warriors’ lineup for their Friday night loss to South Sydney after travelling to Australia to handle his legal affairs.

His punishment, which also includes a $10,000 fine and participation in an education and training programme as recommended by the NRL, will include the Rabbitohs game.

Shaun Johnson is not available for Andrew Webster’s team’s Round 19 match against Parramatta, which is scheduled for Sydney. Curran is free to play for the Warriors in their Round 20 match against the Sharks.

It is communicated to Curran that he has five business days to reply to the breach notice.
