Aqeel Glass, the two-time HBCU Black College Player of the Year, inked a contract with the New Orleans Breakers of the USFL.

Aqeel Glass, the former two-time Black College Player of the Year, inked a free-agent deal with the New Orleans Breakers of the USFL.

Aqeel Glass will provide head coach John DeFilippo and general manager Ryan Jones of the Breakers with a reliable quarterback to grow.

Glass was not selected in the NFL Draft of 2022. He signed a rookie free-agent contract with the Tampa Bay Bucs, but he was never able to make an impression on the team. Glass has not been seen much in the past few months since taking part in the XFL HBCU Tryouts in Jackson, MS.

The former Alabama A&M Bulldog quarterback possesses both the quantitative and qualitative skills necessary to succeed in the NFL.

While at Alabama A&M, Glass completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and was finishing his master’s in civil engineering.
